I have theory that it may have been modified for use at the Great Sand Dunes.
These specially built FC170s were used in the Telluride/Ouray area and the Marble/Crystal City area. I'm still looking for confirmation that one may have been used at the Dunes.
They currently use a pair of '78 Dodge pickups running on ag or aircraft tires to give tours at the Dunes. Before that, I think they used Kaiser 1-1/4 tons. I'm still tyring to prove what they used before that.
