From what everyone is saying, it sounds like I can go without, but I suspect this is like the industrial coatings they sell at Tractor Supply and they work better with a little hardner added. At least here in Houston. With the high humidity we have, the paint will wrinkle and take literally months to dry sometimes. Learned that the hard way on a tractor I did a couple of years ago. I guess I'll go with acrylic hardner since I hear it will work with any type enamel paint, even though it is more expensive. Thanks again everybody for your thoughts and input!
