Anyway gm was so ticked off that they pulled out of New Venture, which was originally New Process. Chrysler got screwed in this deal because, they had stopped making their own transmissions in favor of the Muncie gm transmission and retained building only the transfer cases. New Venture was a joint venture where the Muncie transmissions and New Process transmissions merged and where built at the Muncie Plant, The New Process transfer cases, renamed as New Venture, where still made at the original Chrysler New Process plant, transmission production was moved to Muncie, along with the tooling. That is why gm is finding a new source for their transfer cases and Chrysler is finding a new transmission.
