Here in The Adirondack Mts, 35 below is expected, and I have seen it to 45 below. A serious heater is needed. I have tried many and have settled on the tank type for all my vehicles. The tank typa available at NAPA has the heating element in a small tank you mount on the inner fender well. The hot water rises and makes a ball move that actually provides a type of pumping action. The overall gain is that hot water is not only in the block, but does circulate thru your heater and radiator. Granted the radiator will cool it some, but you can put you hand on a block at 35 below, and it feels warm. Thats all that is needed. You can also get heating pads for under your battery to get maximum battery efficiency. Then use Mobil 1 in everything and they will all start like its July
