DOnt know about your hubs, however Warn hubs as used on a PW can be damaged if not completely locked. There is a sliding clutch that moves in and out when the knob is rotated. If the clutch is only rotated part way the pins will only contact the clutch in a partial condition. In this case the ends of the clutch can be chewed.
This happened to the warn hubs I used on my carryall. Someone had not locked them all the way. A machinest friend took the clutch and welded up the ends where the pins engage, then machined the dogs. It works great now. The older warn hubs are easy to tear down and check for damage. But parts are not available for the older hubs.
