I also recently experienced a no-sale auction on ebay. Right at the last minute the guy jumped in and bid it up to $1600. It turned out that he was in Switzerland and after trying to complete the sale through a guy who was visiting Florida, he never sent the money. Oh well, the sky ski will bring more in the spring anyway!
