Being a make-do kinda guy, I'd consider taking a good digital pic of the gauge face plate then adjust the image to scale and print out on pic paper. Use a hobby/razor knife to cut out the letters-numbers and tic marks. Lay over original for a match check and if it does then there you have a template to tape to a newly painted faceplate
for a stencil. Thats the best idea I can come up with.
