Where do you live. Being in redneck country (Oklahoma) and in a college town. The cops here never even look at me twice. I have ran many a lights, speed (on ocasion) and they never even look at my old truck twice. If you are only using it on dirt roads I bet they would not mess with you to much. Police have better things to do. My opinion anyway.
