Folks think you have to be out on the west
coast or in the rockies to, live in the most beautiful places and/or be in the best place to own or drive a PW. Been there, seen them
and while yes there is some beautiful country
out west , its either too cold, too hot,too remote, or too many other-state imagrants moving in.
I would say the best all-around places to live and enjoy driving a PW is in the area that several southeastern states meet at the mountains that stretches from western Virginia southwesterly to the northeastern corner of Alabama taking in east Tennessee, western N. Carolina and north-northwestern Georgia. With longer summers, milder winters, beautiful mountain vistas (while not as large, plenty enough fun)carpeted in a lush green foilage. You get the feeling of vast widerness even if you don't have to drive 100mi. to the nearest mall. Just watch out for the deer crossing!
