what's the story on IH Int'l Harvester trucks?

I don't hear much of them; they seem pretty sturdy. How compare to PW? In '79 I put a deposit down on a tough looking but worn IH pick-up. Later that day I got a call from a guy who convinced the owner to sell it to him, out from underneath my deposit! I was pissed and later got my '63 W200, which I am Very Glad is the one I ended up with. I was told that IH parts were Very expensive; what's you guys opinions of toughness etc.?
