Running Boards

Are the repro running boards offered by VPW the way to go? Are they as close to original as they claim- "cant tell the difference"? My PW has diamond plate that the previous owner had bent to shape and supports made of welded flat stock. I want to remove all this and replace it with new brackets and runningboards.
