Hi Clint, It's pretty much as described, The Set is a device to put the "set" into the blades. It typically has a center pin with a weighted cone that will center any blade with any size hole. Out at the tooth end was a die , typically about 2" around, with a flat center and the tapered down. This allowed the set to be placed when each individual tooth was struck by a hammer. Buzz saws typically needed about a 3 lb ball pene hammer and smaller blades could be set with a smaller hammer. My father operated a saw shop up until I graduated from High School so I was privledged to work in the family shop. I don't have the set anymore but if you wanted to make one, I could make you some pretty good drawings to get it done. Alan Koester Retseoka@aol.com
