Huh? What's the beadlock on a combat rim?

Never heard or seen such a thing, and I've busted loose 3 or 4 sets of combat rims. As far as I know the combat rims are just safer than split rings, because there is no groove for a split ring to fit into. What locks the tire bead to the wheel?
