Glad to hear your townie is going strong Jay...As for the engine in the 1 '55 Truck, it might be a 270 Poly. The V8 for the 1955-1956 Trucks was a 269-270 Poly. The 315 Came about in '57. Who is to say that somebody may have dropped a 315 in it.

Back in high school there was a decent '55 1/2 ton Dodge for sale about 5 miles from me. He wanted $750 for it, it was complete, turned over and very solid. This was back in '96. Man.......I wish I coulda snagged it.......
