OT 6x6 2 1/2 ton

Is anyone here very knowledgeable about
2 1/2 ton 6x6's I found a 1953 fire and rescue pump truck with 10,767 miles on it always indoors "no rust" needs some paint, glass is good all tires are like new. It also comes with the standard bed with low sides and a winch! I'll hear it run this week.

The the owner is asking $ 3,000
It sounds very fair to me, it's a multi fuel engine and only 25 miles from my house.

Any help would be great
