Has it been parked a while, now runs funny? Maybe the leather accelerator pump cup dried out and shrunk, enough so easy throttle wont flare the cup out to the pump walls, but fast stroke will. Keep it wet for a couple days by making sure the carb don't dry out- run it a couple times a day. In this heat it doesn't take long to evaporate all the gas from the carb. Otherwise, remove top of carb, pull pump complete, flare leather cup with your fingers, reassemble.
NOTE, if you put a coat of motor oil on carb gaskets during assembly, they won't stick and can be re-used during maintenance.
