Found out if the Carb Float Level is off you can lose some power on steep hills should have known that! Now that it is re/adjusted it pulls them alot faster and better!! Now my question is it realistic to use a M-37 to pull 6-8,000 lbs of trailer and hay for 20 miles if the trailer has electric brakes and the M-37 is running nice? Don't realy care about the top speed just whether it can pull the load since it would be on back roads around 30-35 mph. My 1/2 ton has a hard time with 2 ton on the trailer and I need to do something with the M-37 to keep the wife happy having it around. The 1/2 ton is her truck and she asked me why the M-37 wasn't bring home the hay!! The book said 6,000 lbs recommended hyw towing and I wonderd if I could cheat a little and tow a little less than 8,000 lbs (gross trailer weight) to make it worth while. When they set the loads I think for the M-37 they did not figure tamdom axles and electric brakes. Any imput on this?? Mark H.
