This weekend I went 4 wheeling. My M37 has a PTO driven hydraulic winch (Braden, 10,000 lb, >300' 7/16" cable). One of the other rigs had an electric winch. It took a triple line to pull a FJ55 up a 60 degree embarnkment out of a creek. It was excruciatingly slow (an electric winch which is advertised at 80 fpm no load can slow down to inches per minute under heavy load) and got very hot, they poured cold creek water over it, nearly burned up, killed a battery. My hydraulic pulled me out single line in about 60 seconds.
