Take the Ford 6-cyl heads that had a cast-in intake manifold and machine two new pads at each end, drill and tap two holes for studs on each pad, and bore a large hole for the throat. We'd then bolt on a carb spacer flange and add two more Carter YF or Holley one barrels. This works great on any straight six manifold that has a centered carb.
Just food for thought. If you are in Oregon, I have a milling machine. We could get together and work on it.
