{{ANOTHER PLAN MAY BE TO TRY A PLASTIC TANK OUT OF
A RAMCHARGER, I THINK THEY MAY FIT, BUT IF YOU
GET ONE DON'T FORGET TO GET THE STRAPS TO HOLD IT
IN, THEY GET EXPENSIVE TO BUY NEW. EVEN ONE FROM
A DODGE VAN MAY FIT BETWEEN THE FRAME RAILS AND
THEY ARE ABOUT 23 CANADIAN GALLONS.}}
I had a '78 Trailduster which is the same thing and it had a hole in the tank which I replaced. The tank won't fit. At least the plastic one won't as it's 36 gallons and much too wide to fit between the rails. I'm looking at a 1982 D-150 that I may part out and it has a tank I could probably get to work. The fill tube may be a problem though.
I'm looking for input to improve the function of anything I have made though. I'm already planning on baffles and a reinforced bottom.
