I've seen clunker M37 running $3000 and I have a running M37 with rollover damage I got for $500.
An M37 w/ a super clean body but no engine/trans may run $1500. I've seen these as low as $500.
But it's all a moot point. How much is it worth to YOU? If M37's are rare in your area, then maybe $1500-2000 is fair. Maybe more. If they are common as dirt, then maybe the whole pile is worth $700.
And yes, you will pay one way or another for a complete, restored M37, whether it be a perfect vehicle for $4000+ or by building up a $500 wonder truck. You can get away with a lot less if you don't totally restore it but just run it. The ONLY advantages to getting a cheap M37 is the pleasure (?) of working on it yourself and being able to stretch the costs over a period of months or years. The drawback is all the time spent before you can drive it.
