Keep it like it came and you'll not be sorry. Get the book " Dodge Pickups History and Restoration Guide 1918-1971 " by Don Bunn and Tom Brownwell. Skip over to chapter 14 about engine rebuilding and you'll become enlightened about a beautiful little engine. I have a friend who did on a rig like yours and is impressed he said not to omit the balancing. I dont know how fast it will run but it sure runs sweet. have fun and keep us posted.
