Don't be discouraged by these posts, we just want you alive to enjoy the hobby! 40 years ago we used to drive 4 banger MB Jeeps that weren't as fast (ha!ha!) as the POWER WAGONS. We just mapped our route, added a few days and we knew every road side rest and historical marker for 4 states! It made it an adventure! There are plenty of routes around DFW. Once I went from eastern LA county to AZ and never put a wheel on a freeway, it was so much fun that we did it again and tried to NOT drive on a paved road! That was a challenge, but we met a lot of different and fun folks along the way! Met a lot of farmers and saw a lot of country where the roads are still not paved. That made the 45 mph paved roads feel like we were going 100 mph!
