If it has cowl lights on the cab sides and OD paint as the bottom coat, it could well be a WC 38, WC 39, WC 47 or WC 50 cab from the 1941-42 half ton 4 x 2 militarised civilian series.

As such, it wouldn't be technically correct, but it would be a 1941 army cab on a 1941 army truck and could have been done at the time by the army from salvaged vehicles, so you really might NOT want to change it unless you like sun cream...

Any identifying numbers on the CAB at all? Any passengers door plate tags - large or small, any holes in the dash for serial plates, either on the glovebox lid or over the instruments top left?
