Booster vacuum line

On my booster that is the later style with the 2 hole mount, there is one vacuum tube line coming out the top, and one mounted on the back side of the big round chamber facing the rear of the truck. Which one is the vacuum line hitched to, and is the other left open to the air? Thanks
