The classic POWER WAGON, the WDX was a derivative of the WD, 2WD Dodge, using technology from the V and M series WWII Dodges. As the WD body style aged and was phased out in favor of the Power Giant and later the Sweptline body style, the WDX-WM300 was also phased out and the PG and Sweptline remained, badged as a POWER WAGON. It was just an simple evolution and improvement of the line. Therefore, 315 and 318 powered, POWER WAGONS have every right to be called such and they are powered by both I-6's, \6's and V-8's, from the factory. So Commandment #4 is only valid if you are referring to the W series. The WM series had \6's in the post '68 export models.
True Dodge Commandment #1; Never say never when it comes to Dodge! ha!ha!
