A Delegation from the UN once visited Watts, to witness first hand the "oppression" of the US. The Spokesperson insisted upon seeing the worst and poorest sections, when the tour was over the spokesperson for the group said, "OK, but now show us the worst part!" When informed that they had indeed visited the worst part of Watts the spokesperson blurted out, "but these homes are like a middle class neighborhood in France!"
