Well that is some what correct. In Alabama (which is where i live, and register anything) if the vehicle is prior to 1972 they issued no titles. So all you need is a bill of sale to someone in Alabama to register it. Then they sell it back to some one else in your state. You can then take position from your friend through your state registry. Then the paper trail is complete as far as your state is concerned. Simple....right! Good luck! (Oh yah.....I only charge $100.00.....to do the same.) Any takers? Just joking.
