My 1984 GM Suburban with the naturally aspirated 6.2 liter diesel is about to hit 200,000 miles. Not the fastest thing out of the gate, but cruises easily at 70-75 MPH and still gets 20 mpg.

It's louder than the Ford motor, and occasionally vibrates an alternator or AC compressor bracket bolt loose, but overall, it has been a very reliable and trouble free motor for me.
