Be grateful that it is only going in your carb. On my '97 Pathfinder when the the sack containing the charcoal let go it got sucked into the whole fuel return system, jambed up a couple solenoid valves and lines. Had to be blown out to the tune of $260. Then it happened 11 months later. Seems the "additives" in the gas break down the material that holds the charcoal in the canister. At least the second time it was covered under warranty. No problems since then (5 yrs).
