From what I gather, there were 3 transmissions in the Power Wagons over the years. The older ones had the non synchro, then there was the "after" type also non synchro and then the synchro NP-420. When did the "after" type come into play and how is it different from the before type. Did the NP-420 start in 57? Lastly, what is the designation of the transfer case, and is that the same for all WDX - Wm300s?
