The Marine Corps and Navys beloved CH-46 turned 40 on Friday. She is still flying,and will be for awhile (upper Brass, says the last CH-46 pilot has not been born yet).
At the CH-46 birth day party at MCAS New River, NC, the CH46 that was on display and still flying in harms way, was the last helicopter out of Viet Nam.
In this area, a CH46 crews have bumper stickers that say "NEVER TRUST A HELICOPTER UNDER 30".
