Detroit has been using them on gas tanks for years, assumably to control evaporative emmissions from tank. But would they have distinct advantages in our flat-fenders? They would stabilize the atmosphere in the tanks, preventing fuel degeneration in a truck driven only occassionally. They would retain the pressure created by sloshing when driving, the positive pressure behind the gas preventing 'vapor lock'. Simply hose clamp a filler neck of the proper I.D. in place of the OE filler neck....or is the charcoal cannister a significant part of the vent system? Hmmmm... any smog guys here?
