I have one on my 49 B-1, and need to have it rebuilt.
I’ve found that it’s a BXUV-3, but don’t know if that’s the correct carburetor for the truck.
I did find a source that says a 1949 B3PW (T-137,164,176,310) had a Stromberg BXV-3, while the 1949 B1,2,3D,DU,EUhad a Stromberg BXVD-3. (http://www.thecarburetorshop.com/Trdodge.htm)
As best as I can tell the BXUV-3 was used on 49 Plymouth and Desoto’s. It was also used on 39-41 Dodge Canadian Production. The Stromberg BXUV-3 was a replacement for Carter D6A1, D6A2, hand choke’s.
Any one else with a Stromberg? If so what model year and which carburetor?
Thanks,
Will
