I have a propane cutting torch. It cuts just as well as a oxy\act torch and is much cheaper to run. You will use very little propane, but alittle more oxy. About 3 to 1. The problem is doing a gas welding. It is much harder to adjust flame. I also have a oxy\act torch for jobs that propane my not do. Like anything else it takes practice.
