M-37 bad coil??

This kind of goes along with John's posting of M-37 will not start. I can't get mine running either. If I have a bad coil, can it be intermittent, or just either good or bad? I had mine running then it quit. Occasionally it will fire. I have decent spark at the dist. cap, but poor output at the plug end of the wires (which are new. I am wondering if the coil is cutting in and out. If the coil can't do this could it be the condensor? My points are OK as far as I know. Is there an over the counter 24 volt coil, or do I need to order one from one of the supply houses? Thanks for any help.
