WDX ID INFO

I have what the title tells me is a 1947 wdx.I looked at the vin# on the cab and its says #82903820 WDX .I guess my question is that, the instrument gauges are in the center of the cab . for a 1947 arent they supposed to be on both sides of the steering columm? any thoughs? thank you
