The way it always worked is that if something was US made our customs were not at all interested. Now with willies executive order it may be flagged for batf to impound. If you hadn't heard about it before, a guy bought an airport tug version of a Unimog in Canada, had it hauled to US. Customs stopped it at the Montana border, batf impounded it because it fell under willies order. They had it for weeks or months with no release in sight the last I heard. I think if it is any color but green you shouldn't have a problem. This all happened 3 to 4 months ago perhaps someone else is more up to date on the situation. MVPA is not saying much because it seems there is little can be done. There were quite a few MV owners got hot and started sending nasty grams in to the state dept., congress, the presidents office and so on which didn't do any good except make the MV hobbiest look like a pack of radicals. MVPA was working quietly and diplomatically behind the scenes in Wash. supposidly. I think the only relief possible will be at the voting booth in 2000. Unfortunatly. Can anyone out there give us more up to date info on this?
