I read in the local paper that the city council wants to go after "junk" cars (your beautiful restored machine is a junk car to some contemporary people).I did my homework and made some phone calls.I found that the state of Wisconsin has protective laws and asked that they be adopted as a city ordinance.A city council member aranged the whole thing and not a single vote was cast against it!I dont need plates,tags,insurance,it doesnt need to run...Nothing!!Parts,restoration activities are also protected.The only thing is that it cannot be a nusiance,unsightly(car cover),or a home to vermin and weeds.I did this all by myself and I am sure you can too with some luck.The only thing I had to do was to promise to vote for my alderman(love that guy!)I was courtious and persistant,being rude wont work.Give it a try,this is AMERICA LAND OF THE BRAVE!
