It seems that some of what was in the movie never quite made it out into the real world. The rear PTO set up was somewhat common. The drawbar was often seen with that set up. The belt pulley looks like the Ford Tractor pulley but isn't the same. A number of years ago Fred Coldwell was gathering data on belt pulleys and could only come up with 12 or 13 serial #s from owners, via the PWA. If I recall circulation then was about 700. I think it has been stated that it is more than double that now. Perhaps today with more people in the hobby more BPs might surface. I was lucky enough to have found one complete set up, PTO, BP and drawbar. At the time there was a guy casting the PTO cover from an original copy. I still have his address if someone needs one. Yes I know there is a nice stainless copy machined now. The original was cast iron. Fred searched long and hard and to my knowledge never located an original 3 point hitch. It seems that it was never established that the 3 point hitch was actually ever produced and sold. Remember the promo film was made to get the dealers all hyped up to sell this stuff. It looks like the 3 point never flew at this point. If anyone has information to the contrary please let us know. If you have a belt pulley set up and haven't talked to Fred please do. Each one has a serial # on it. The implements were all pieces that happened to be available at the time. If you want more specific details Fred is the historian. His info is always very accurate and never in doubt. Unfortunatly (for us PW freaks) he is also a published Jeep historian and spends much time researching them. If you would like to meet him and spend some time picking his fascinating brain come to the 9th annual Rocky Mountain Power Wagon Rondezvous in Ouray Colorado. He can always be found on the trail rides and at the evening camp fire and is always glad to talk Power Wagons. Good Luck and see you there, Lyle Van Wert
