I know this page is mostly for pre 70s powerwagons but I have a question(s) that I need help on and I know someone out there can help me. I have a 79 powerwagon and I bought a 440 and the trans for 300 dollars and I am going to put it in the truck, my first question is, Will the motor mounts that are on the truck now work? The brackets that mount directly to the block on the small block look like they will work on the big block, will they? and my last question is,Will I have to change the output shaft on the trans to get it to hookup to the trans case?? I can still get the rubber mounts that bolt to the frame but the brackets that bolt to the block itself is another problem, thats why I hope the small block ones will work they sure look the same.Any help on this would GREATLY be appreciated!!!
