Ken, I'd think dropping a 350 small block with 350 trans would make a good no brainer. About 15 years ago I helped build one of the first "Pull Trucks" in this area, a 47'WDX. We dropped in a super stock Plymouth 426 Hemi with a push button 727 B&M Hydro "Clutch-filte" trans. Adapted the original 4 speed to the clutchflite and used the original transfer too. It would win any pull it was in if the axels would hold. Even the special axels made for pull trucks would twist off. Last I heard he finally gave up and put an ordinary small block Chev. in the thing. Good luck, Bert
