{{Get yer butt down the either the library or law
library and read the applicable codes yourself.}}
Thanks for the support, however, I am an ex-police office so I have a little bit of knowledge of the workings of the law. The zoning enforcement officer mentioned that she was in charge of the entire county. When I asked about these other cars for sale, she asked for addresses. This was a specific request and as such she is required to honor any information I give her regarding it. I've noticed that two of the Mayors neighbors have cars for sale in their yards. I've also seen many, many other cars through the area. I'm not fooling with older cars some poor shmoe is probably selling to buy shoes for his kids. However, every Mercedes for sale is noted. So far, I have about 50 addresses that are not in compliance. These will be passed on, per the citys request by their designated agent, and I expect enforcment action to be taken. The fact that this is an election year should make no difference.
I am getting legal advice from a lawyer as I have seen what happens with forgotten paperwork. A lawyer can be sued for malpractice just like a doctor so I expect no trouble there. I'm merely checking to see if the actions I intend to take are legal. I rarely fooled with zoning codes. However, I can assure you all, selctive enforcement is not an option for the city.
I will also be getting a copy of the pertinent code section and also find out when the city was given jurisdiction over the entire county. If this predates my sales activities, I don't really have a leg to stand on. However, if it happened after I did this at some time in the past, then they are up the creek as they may not change how I use my property (it's called a grandfather clause).
