I have 1941 WC closed cab pickup. I've looked over various versions of WC codes for these trucks, and I haven't found any real difference between them.

The WC-14 was a later (and last) batch of closed cab pickups. The WC-12 was the first large back and even included one (yes, one) cab only, no box. I've suspected some minor changes, such as dash gauges (round or rectangular) but no solid proof can back this up, as I've seen enough variations to make it suspect. (Maybe some cabs got swapped around?)

Are you trying to ID a truck? I have a listing of all WC serial number ranges and their hood numbers (can't link both for a specific truck, but we can at least see if they are in the right area and the exact model numbers.) Email me if you want to do this.

BTW, NO production Closed Cab pickup had a winch. I know some do today, but it is due to a swap of the open "weapons carrier" cab to a closed cab. This is a real popular swap and should not be held against any truck, unless it is being passed off as 100% authentic. (Unlike later PW's and M37's, the early trucks had either a winch frame or a winchless frame. The frame extension were bolt-ons for later trucks.)

And also BTW, there were five versions of the beds. An "express body" (whatever that means) less eats, express body with longitudinal seats, express body with traverse seats, pickup body w/o seats, and the weapons carrier bed. I suspect the weapons carrier bed was reserved soley for the open cab trucks, and the other four are definately listed for the closed cab. I do not know the difference is between a 'pickup body' and an 'express body'. Photos fail to show this. It is known that all are identical on the outside. Don't panic if your bed sides have a lot of extra holes in it. These are probably for the various seat options.
