I've done a bunch of sand blasting, and the best advice I can give you is to have someone else do the job for you. You need a BIG air supply, plenty of protection (ear plugs, supplied air respirator, heavy gloves, hood that goes to your waist at the very least), a place to do the work that won't upset everyone within 3 miles, not to mention the local EPA. It's just easier, safer and cheaper to have a regular sand blasting company do it.
