If I've translated the numbers right, I'm paying the equivalent of $6.75 per gallon for gas or diesel here in Scotland. Did I mention I don't do too many miles in my Dodges?
Someone may want to check the figure for me, I think the basic figure is about £0.80 - £0.83 per litre, which I reckon is quite close to $6.75. More than 90% of that is tax. It wouldn't be quite so bad if we weren't surround by offshore oil and gas here and have to see it all flowing south to England every day. I did toy with the thought of buying a decent WW2 Diamond T or Ward La France wrecker some time back, when fuel was 'only' the equivalent of $3 per gallon, but I went off the idea.
