Ha! I have the Rhinoliner, it is great. I tried the do-it-yourself roll ons, you can not get it thick enough, unless you spend hundreds in material; for that cost you are better off having it done professionally at Rhino. Line-X is also a pretty good product, but I prefer Rhino.
The negative arched springs were to give the truck a lower, "nicer" car-like ride. Yes springs do wear, but not significantly unless they are damaged. Re-arched springs will lose about 50% of their capacity, but factory springs last pretty well.
