I bought the rubber window gasket from VPW also. I have had no problems. Just a single piece of auto glass works just fine. I do not have any glue or sealant holding either the window rubber or the glass in place. Make sure that you are putting the glass in the correct slot in the seal as it can be done incorrectly.
