A couple of years ago my '78 M-880 was running a little rough, and I stopped by the Dodge dealer one day to see if some mechanic could just step outside and listen to it, maybe adjust the carb just a little bit. When I went up to the service desk and explained the problem and asked if someone could come and look at the carb, the guy started to chuckle. (Did I say something funny? Does he think it's funny I can't adjust the carb myself?!?...) He started to shake his head and said, "These kids have never seen a carberator! Since they've been born there's been nothing buy fuel-injection!!" He said there was an older retired guy that worked for them only on Thursdays and loved the 'old stuff'. ('78?) I stopped Thursday, the guy came out, listened, made a few minor tweeks here and there... it never ran better.
Gotta' love - 'old school'!!!
