For those who were at the Southern Power Wagon Rally, you know my problem, but for the others her it is, and a question to go with it.
The Drag Link connection to the Pitman Arm disconnected. It seemed to happen (only twice, and on the trial) when I cranked hard on the steering while not rolling much. The guys on the trail ride with me were great in lending me balling wire and zip ties to get me going again and I'd like to tank them again!
Some of them suggested checking the "disk" and "spring" installation to make sure they were in the correct order and I was unable to get grease in the fitting and if installed wrong that could cause the problem.
Looking at the manual (per the photo above) I'm not sure which order is correct for the Sockets, Spring and Bumper as on one end it shows them in one order and on the other end in another order. (On the Left the bumper is towards the center of the link and on the Right End the Sockets are towards the center).
Any one know which is correct?
Thanks,
Will
